About Me

I developed an interest in politics at a very young age, but my passion for Canadian politics began to take shape after starting my post secondary career at Kwantlen University College in British Columbia (now Kwantlen Polytechnic University); and my attachment for all things related to Canadian political matters only grew as I finished my BA in political science at Simon Fraser University, with a minor in Canadian history.

I recently completed my Master's in Political Science at l'Université de Montréal, and since May 2011, I have become a vocal member of the Liberal Party of Canada. Like a lot of Canadians, I count myself as being socially liberal & fiscally conservative. In other words, I am a centrist who despises government waste, while at the same time seeing a need for government to play a role in promoting social justice and social mobility.

Furthermore, I do not believe in “towing the party line,” or defending a political party simply because of ideological allegiance. My political views and opinions are based on my vision of what Canada should be as a country, as well as what I personally believe is in Canada’s best interest.

Having studied Canadian politics virtually my entire adult life, I tentatively count myself as being a knowledgeable political analyst. Therefore, I wanted to find a vehicle to share my thoughts and ideas regarding Canada and Canadian politics; and so, I decided to start this blog and add my voice to the chorus of varied opinions that can be found within the Canadian political blogosphere.

If you like what I have to say, or would just like to tell me how wrong I am, here are some ways of getting in touch with me:
